What Are Capsule Slip Rings?
Slip rings are compact devices using electromagnetic induction for transmission of signals and power from a stationary to a rotating component. Capsule Slip ring is a variant of the slip ring which resembles a hat slip ring. It is packed with a cap flange for accommodating with the other equipment which is mounted on the flanges. This is why capsule slip rings usually have an outer stationary and inner rotator component.

The number of channels are up to 125 in number.
The rotation speed can be up to 2000RPM. But many variants are available in 10000RPM too.
The housing is made up of either metal or plastic.
It may also consist of a rotary shaft.

How to install?
A capsule slip ring comes with a flange on a sleeve bracket arrangement.
The rotating part must be connected with a flexible channel in a concentric fashion like a spiral or a rubber tube. Rotor lead can also be used.
Then you can use screws and washers to mount the capsule slip ring. Avoid extra tightening of these washers and flanges.
Never let the slip ring take the weight of the attached equipment. Rotating equipment must be locked at all places and no weight should be exerted even on the fixed part.
Avoid moisture and dust accumulation on the capsule slip ring. You should always use a protective shield when using this slip ring for outdoor equipment.
The wires must be protected at all costs. Especially during rotation.
While stripping off the skin head watch out for the wire you will not want to damage it.
